Homage to Impressionism
Artist HanSungpil is active internationally, and through photography, media, and installation works, he deals with sharp and fundamental subjects such as humanity and the environment, reality and virtual reality, original and reproduction, painting and photography. He has met with diverse audiences through exhibitions, publications, public art installations, and collections in more than 20 countries including the Venice Biennale, the National Assembly of Korea, the National Museum of Modern Art, the French Embassy, the Houston Museum of Modern Art, Russia, and Chateau Chaumont, France. He is currently working on a long-term project involving glaciers to document global warming in the Rocky Mountains, sponsored by the City of Calgary, Canada. HanSungpil's works always show a delicate sense of humor and sublime beauty through deep philosophical concepts and captivating expressions. This Homage to Impressionism NFT work is a work that unfolds Impressionism art with a new modern interpretation through the Artist in Residence program in France with the support of ACCR (French Cultural Heritage Association).
